Gabriel Pla

Gabriel Pla graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University Honors College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and English. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he was an editor for the Journal of Technology Law & Policy, a Trial Practice course teaching assistant, and a research assistant to Professor Merritt McAlister. He served as an executive board member for University of Florida Law’s Cuban American Bar Association chapter.
He also served as a judicial intern to Judge Chris McAliley of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and to Justice Alan Lawson of the Florida Supreme Court.
Mr. Pla began his career in public service as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office where he gained substantial trial experience as a prosecutor. Prior to joining Moore & Co., he worked at a Miami maritime defense law firm where he represented major cruise lines in passenger and crew member personal injury matters in federal court and in arbitration proceedings.
He is a member in good standing of the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
