Clay Naughton

Clay Naughton attended Tulane University Law School, where he pursued a course of study in one of the most extensive and respected Admiralty Law curriculum in the United States.  Mr. Naughton received his Juris Doctor, as well as a Certificate in Maritime Law recognizing his expertise in the field of admiralty.  In addition to legal studies, Mr. Naughton was committed to Pro Bono activities, including volunteering his legal expertise at the Tipitina’s Entertainment Law Legal Assistance Project (assisting local New Orleans musicians). 

Prior to joining Moore & Company, Mr. Naughton interned at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, where he coauthored a number of Court opinions, most notably, Eagle Lake Estates v. Cabot Oil &Gas Corp.  Returning to his life-long home: Miami, Mr. Naughton began his legal career as a term associate at a prestigious maritime law firm.  Since that time, he has continued to specialize in the areas of yachting and aviation law; primarily devoting his practice to assisting our clients in the areas of litigation, arbitration, and contract disputes.

Mr. Naughton is a member in good standing of the Florida Bar, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the Dade County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.
